Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant to join our team! As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction with dancers as young as 2 years old. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, reliable and has a passion for dance and children! Hours are negotiable, but the ideal candidate will be available Monday - Thursday 3:45pm through 7:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher with classroom needs
- Supervise students in the classroom
- Enforce classroom rules and procedures
- Bring excitement and encouragement into the classroom
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in dance a plus
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Reliable and punctual
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a background check
Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
